The terms do not disclose whether a user can interact with trusted or untrusted users, or whether personal information can be made publicly visible. The terms state the service does not send marketing messaging to children, and they do not rent or sell user information to third parties for marketing purposes or targeted advertising. The terms further state that third-party services providers have access to users' personal information only for the purpose of performing the services. In addition, the terms state GoNoodle is committed to protecting the security, integrity and confidentiality of user data through the use of physical and technical safeguards. Lastly, children under the age of 13 must be part of a family or educator account before they are permitted to access the entire content library and additional features within GoNoodle.
The privacy evaluation is independent from the Common Sense edtech tool review. Privacy evaluations are designed to clarify how a service protects information, which will allow people to make informed decisions before using a tool with students.
