Kahoot! can be accessed at the following locations: website, Apple App Store, and Google Play Store. This review includes Kahoot products: Kahoot!, Kahoot! Kids, Kahoot! Algebra by DragonBox, Kahoot! Numbers by DragonBox, Kahoot! Multiplication by DragonBox, Kahoot! Algebra by DragonBox, Kahoot! Algebra 2 by DragonBox, Kahoot! Geomerty by DragonBox, Kahoot! Big Numbers by DragonBox, Kahoot! Learn Chess by DragonBox, and Poio by Kahoot! .The following 7 policies were used to evaluate Kahoot!: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7. This evaluation only considers policies that have been made publicly available prior to an individual using the application or service.

Rating

This product has earned a Common Sense Privacy Verified Seal. Seal recipients have agreed to participate in our most rigorous rating process, going through our 200+ rubric of privacy questions. They have agreed to: quarterly check-ups, updating their privacy policy at least once per year, and updating their privacy policy whenever a major change in their privacy practices occur. In addition, they have met with one of our privacy analysts and they use privacy best practices across the below 7 dimensions that consumers care about most.
  • Personal information is not sold or rented to third parties.
  • Personal information is not shared for third-party marketing.
  • Personalised advertising is not displayed.
  • Data are not collected by third-parties for their own purposes.
  • User's information is not used to track and target advertisements on other third-party websites or services.
  • Data profiles are not created and used for personalised advertisements.

This type of evaluation is a Quick Rating which is meant to help parents, educators, and consumers make quick decisions about privacy. Quick ratings can help answer one of the most important privacy questions about a product, which is whether the company is making money from your data. Quick ratings display a Pass, Warning, or Fail badge with icons for answers to each of the rating questions. However, a Quick rating does not display an Overall Score, or Evaluation Concerns, which requires one of our more comprehensive privacy evaluations to compare products for use in different contexts.

These evaluations are designed to help educators make informed decisions about the potential privacy implications of educational technology used to support teaching and learning.
